I totally am. I am going to post some pictures from our halloween and thanksgiving. I will post christmas updates shortly. I can’t wait for the Yule,we are staying home this year and I get to decorate!!! YAY!!!! Alright now for the pictures.

So halloween and Samhain are my favorite holidays. Samhain is a religious holiday for me and it’s extremely sacred and important. Halloween is just our favorite holiday, honestly our whole family loves this holiday and we have extended it to the entire month!!! This year I am making mermaid princess costumes for LB and her best friend. I will post pictures later. In the meantime I wanted to share with you some of my past pumpkins and my facepainting. I have been obsessed with making tunics and dresses for LB and her friends. Now that I have the formula down I think I may start putting some in my etsy shop. I think 35 a dress is fair? I love to make them and I can change the style so easily that unlike other projects I just do not get bored by them.

I am still a serger fanatic, seriously. I made LB a peasant top and dress this week using this pattern. I also made two more for friends and have two more in the works. Even if you are a novice sewer you can follow this tutorial, it is super easy and fast. I love it! Thanks for free patterns. If you find any you think I would like post them here.

Man do you ever feel like you are rushing around and getting nowhere? I am so going through that right now. I feel super busy but in reality I am probably not as busy as I feel. I have got to work on my time management skills. Anywho, I am going to LB’s school tomorrow to help the kiddos with artwork for the upcoming icecream social. I am also working on LB’s rapunzel dress which is a little above my sewing skills. NB just ordered the fabric for our halloween costumes so I will be busy sewing for the next few weeks. Also my first week at SYTYC is coming up! I am super excited and nervous. Hopefully I will post a new craft by friday.

For my audition piece on SYTYC , I made a bench seat out of an old dresser. The dresser was a gift from a friend and the seat is now my favorite piece of furniture in the house. I need set in some stronger brackets to stabilize the back but other than that it is completely my taste!

Taking apart the dresser was super fun, but aging the wood was my favorite part. Hope you enjoy it.
